The skin of apples contain Quercetin (a flavonol) which has strong antioxidant, antiviral and anticancer properties.

It many epidemiological (disease) studies, apples have been associated with a decreased risk of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and asthma.

To maximize the power of your apple, go ORGANIC. Why?

Because antioxidant content is higher in Organic produce because the phenols of the plants is what is used to fight “predators”.

So if the crop is sprayed, less need for phenols this less antioxidant levels.
