Do you do this too?

Why is making a (healthy) meal so complicated?

I have maybe 8 minutes of free time in a day. I use that 8 minutes to shower, put laundry away or eat. If you had a camera in my kitchen, you would see me walk in, open the fridge and say "Ugh. I have no idea what to make".

Do you do that too?

I only use recipes when my 8 minutes gets upgraded to 20. I know time is tight for you too. But the secret to eating healthy without wanting to yell at the fridge is always this: K.I.S.S.

Grab some healthy staples and put them on a plate. Done.

smoked salmon, butter, mango and "knecke brot" (whole grain cracker thing)

greens, hard boiled eggs, black bean burger, hummus and avocado oil.

I had five minutes to prepare a meal. So I grabbed my fats, proteins and carbs from the fridge and pantry. Then I dumped them on a plate/bowl. I nailed it. They tasted as good as any recipe meal.  It really was that simple.

So before you think "f-it!" and eat fast food, processed food or spend lots of money on eating out, just try this simple trick.
